 Monitor Rock - Independence Pass

Monitor Rock is composed of outstanding granite rock, has a short approach and hosts numerous single and multi-pitch climbs. Situated in an alpine setting, the climbing on the huge walls is very interesting!

There two parking areas; the main lot (east parking) which allows easy access to the Clairabell Mine Wall, and the west parking lot for access to the west walls. The west parking lot is on private land so be very respectful!

Maintain our privilege to park in these spots by not camping here. Use the campgrounds.
